Cochine's Vanille and Tabac Noir Fragrance

LifestyleAsia Date: 25 Oct 2011

Nothing sets the mood and makes a home more cosy than flickering candlelight, especially if they're scented candles from Cochine, Vietnam's first luxury fragrance brand.

Founded by Kate Crofton-Atkins, who used to work for L'Oreal in London, Cochine's collection of luxurious scents are designed to capture Saigon's unique charm and culture.

As huge fans of the existing Agarwood & Amber collection, we were excited to hear about Cochine's Asia-exclusive launch of their new Vanille & Tabac Noir fragrance, which blends two of the Orient's most evocative aromas to capture the magical allure of Saigon at sunset.

The new scent blends classic notes of vanilla with patchouli and tobacco flower, a delicate plant found in the central highlands of Vietnam that open in the evening to produce a flowery scent. Cardamon, nutmeg and basil are then added to create a rich, spicy and warm ambience.
